Project Updates
Last night's Preview screening.
Thanks to all of you who have so far generously contributed to Box of Birds #2. Last night our Fundraiser Preview Screening was a great success - rave responses! Here are 5 of us Hens at the Q&A after the screening at the Roxy - Dame Kate Harcourt, Helen Moulder, Rose Beauchamp, Prue Langbein and Kate JasonSmith.
Getting closer!
Over 70% toward our target! Thanks to you all for your very generous help so far. Here is a sneak preview of a 6 second clip out of a Lorae Parry interview - from the next episode you are helping to fund!
And now ... the incomparable Bub Bridger!
Our next series of "A Box of Birds" will feature Bub Bridger - performance poet and thoroughly naughty comedian. The oldest in Hen's Teeth (by a whisker) Bub was a core member of Hens' Teeth and sadly missed.
We are now up to 85% of our Boosted Target! Thanks so much for your generous contribution. Please feel free to pass this on to friends and colleagues who may want to support us.
Nga mihi.

Bub Bridger on being a Hen
Bub Bridger was an acclaimed poet and short story writer, but in Hens' Teeth it was only her comic poems she performed - though that doesn't mean they were without depth. As you can see in this clip, Bub was not only a clever writer, she was a deep thinker with strong opinions. Bub's episode in A Box of Birds doco series will be made in the next series once we capture our funding.
Thanks so much for your contribution. We are so close to our Boosted target - only $640 to go! Please feel free to pass this on to any friends and colleagues.
Nga Mihi,
Kate & Tracey.
Lorae interviewed by Lee. Or is it?
Lorae Parry (and the voice of Lee Hatherly) - another sneak preview of episode #2 of A Box of Birds!
We've raised 90% of our Boosted Campaign - we need just another $500 - but we need it in the next 5 days or we lose it all! Thanks so much for the generous contribution you have made already. Feel free to pass this on to friends and colleagues.

Lose it all?
Kia Ora dear supporters,
We need to clarify what we said in our last update: "We've raised 90% of our Boosted Campaign - we need just another $500 - but we need it in the next 5 days or we lose it all!"
On the Boosted platform, if you don't achieve your targeted amount, all the donations go back to those kind souls who gave it.
Great news is that we're now only $275 short of our target $5000, with 4 days to go. Fingers crossed! We will get these docos finished!

That's it!
That's it The last of the secret previews! Thanks for your superb support. Only ONE day left for your friends and colleagues to donate to our Boosted Campaign to complete the last "A Box of Birds" episodes.
It's a wrap!
Our Boosted campaign is now over and we achieved 102% of our goal! Thanks to you all for the $5100 donated so generously.
We will begin work on the episode on Lorae Parry soon, and in a few weeks will find if we have been successful in our CNZ application to complete the last 3 in the series.
We’ll continue to post updates on our Boosted page, and these can keep you informed of the documentaries' progress even though the Boosted campaign has ended.
With deep gratitude,
Nga mihi

Hens' Teeth documentaries update
Dear Hens' Teeth supporters,
An update for you on our next bit of work for the Hens' Teeth documentary series...
We are scheduling the edit process for our next episode on Lorae Parry to begin in May - this will be funded by the money raised via this Boosted campaign and the successful screening we had in January - such wonderful support!
Unfortunately we didn't meet current criteria for a second tranche of funding from Creative NZ. We are working on our plan B strategies at the moment as we need to secure a funding body for the final three episodes. It's a bit of a fork in the road but we have no doubt we will get to completion, it may just take a little longer than we'd hoped.
Thank you for your support.
Kate and Tracey
