Overview
This Boosted campaign is part of a nationwide awareness drive under the banner of Boosted LIVE presents #SAVEOURVENUES.
Run by a dedicated committee of music lovers (including Reb Fountain, Matthew Crawley (Golden Dawn / Strange News, Lucy Macrae & Tom Anderson (Whammy Bar), Rohan Evans (The Wine Cellar) and Reuben Bonner (Banished Music)), the #SAVEOURVENUES team seek to unite in support of Aotearoa's live music venues and music scene. To raise awareness and funds, and trigger a national response strategy in support of a thriving musical culture in New Zealand.
#saveourvenues aim is to help generate support for crucial, original, small live music venues right across New Zealand, in cities and towns. And they are calling on everyone to help. Anyone can do it – artists, audience members, reviewers, techies, promoters – all of us. Please support your local venues. They need you.

Project Updates
Ka pai, Ka rawe!!!!
Thank you to all our wonderful donors.. I am so thrilled that today, one week into our campaign we reached our target of $10,000 to safeguard, strengthen and enhance our music-hosting at the Grainstore! So now we are going to keep going with view to launching the songwriters-in-residence programme as soon as the fund is allocated after June 18th. The more we raise the more residencies we can run without seeking outside arts funding. This is going to be a wonderful chance to support artists to create, perform and record music, directly inspired by spending time in our beautiful town and surroundings. So much love to all of you who leapt in to help as soon as we called out for help....Arohanui xxx
