Project Updates

Completed, Shot, Picture Locked, Graded, Mixed!

Mālō family!!

It’s been a while since we last updated you on The Voyager’s Legacy and we know you’re as excited as we are about bringing it to the big screen. I’ve been getting a lot of questions recently about the short film so I wanted to take some time to answer them!

The film is completed, shot, picture locked, graded and mixed, and now awaits the final step of mastering from our friends at the Dept. of Post. As you can tell, filmmaking can be a long, windy and complicated process, but I can assure you we’ve made a film that we’re incredibly proud of, and excited to share with our community.

This story is rooted in who we are, and the stories we tell ourselves, and I can only hope that we’ve done it justice. It is dedicated to our ancestors, our family, and all immigrants who have been made to feel unwelcome in their own home.

I’d like to take this opportunity to, once again (and certainly not for the last time) thank every single one of you that donated and helped to bring this story to life! From our generous donors, to our families and friends that provided food, shelter, support, costume, old photographs, stories and beautiful beautiful energy. This whole thing would have been impossible without you.

We're not too far away from announcing when the film can be screened, and you guys will be the first to hear when we do!! Until then,

Alofa atu,

Bailey Poching
