The Project

Salty Lizard Productions are back...

- physical theatre - clown - absurdist - abstract - poignant - real -

"Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional"

Life is a reflection, of a thought, of a memory, of a moment to come.

Freedom is a state of love.

The human condition never looked so silly.

A physical theatre performance drawing on the absurd, the raw, the true...

"I never placed blame at your feet, I did not mean for you to shoulder the guilt as your own."

-------

Salty Lizard's crowdfunding intention is to use all funds raised to cover cost of production. Anything extra goes toward paying personnel!

The money raised will go towards production costs such as...

 - Fringe Festival registration costs

- Costume/Set/Props

- Marketing collateral (online and otherwise)

- Venue Hire

- Administration costs

- Koha for our stagehands

and remaining monetary funds will go towards a koha for the cast/crew's work pre-show season.

The Details

Where we started...."Devised physical theatre - totally comic, lighthearted and  a tad satirical. NOTHING SERIOUS!"

Where we are...."Devised physical theatre, dabbling in absurdity, traversing the vulnerability of redeeming love, is my truth, the same as yours? A comitragedy.."

We all need a laugh, we all need to ponder.  Expose yourself to the extremes of human nature, encourage vulnerability and allow change to take place. At its heart, this is an empathetic exploration of a man and his familial history. Laughter and tears are two sides of the same coin. We hope you'll discover both for yourself.

The Impact

This is a story for everyone who has ever felt alone, unseen, isolated in guilt, shame, the burdens you shoulder and carry because you feel "it's my fault."

For anyone who has experienced what it's like to lose future possibilities because "future" became fictional as soon as "breathing" became "breathed."

This story is for anyone who is a parent or a child (bear in mind this show is R16 so no children-aged humans please).

Any amount of financial assistance means more of our box-office revenue can cover paying the team of artists involved rather than being entirely spent on production costs.
