Mind The Gap Magazine
Cerys Wiles | Multi Discipline
Overview
Mind The Gap is a magazine for young people by young people. It looks into the transitions we are all experiencing as we leave high school and move on towards different experiences.
The magazine was created by Cerys Wiles in collaboration with Aidan McDougall, Alex Quinn, Bianca Coulter, Huia Monro, Jayzien Blair, Nadezhda Macey, Rune Benzon and Zoe Crane who are still at high school or have just left.
Mind The Gap combines visual art, creative writing and articles that centre around transition with the aim to connect with other young creatives in a time where we are all experiencing huge change.
The goal of the magazine is:
To support young creatives in their transition out of high school and into the next stage of their lives.
If we reach our target, free magazines will be distributed to all year 13 students enrolled in art subjects across Wellington.

Hello all, thank you so so so much for the wondering and amazing support. It has completely blown me away and I feel so chuffed to be surrounded by people who value the importance of this project.
We have started distributing the magazine and the reception we’ve had from schools has been fantastic!
We are 97% of the way there woohoo!! Aiming to reach 100% by the weekend so that we can activate the stretch goal which will enable us to pay the wonderful contributors and support them in their creativity. These contributors all worked extremely hard to make this magazine available for free.
Thank you again!!!!!
