After a long road, we not only reached our initial goal but went well beyond our stretch goal! Just over 17k! That’s incredible!

Kia ora/Kamusta everyone, James here. I’m writing this to update you all on our campaign. First of all we want to say a huge thank you to each one of you who have supported our campaign already. In less than a week we were about to reach 60 percent of our goal! Let’s keep going!

Unfortunately, we have hit a bit of a roadblock. So this Boosted Campaign was set up to help us cover some of the filming costs for the show. Our total budget for the filming - which includes crew hire, equipment hire, post production, sound mix, visual graphics - is around $30,000. Of that money, $24,000 is going to be coming from my own pockets as well as investors. Hence our original 6k goal to cover the rest.

However last week, we received the tough news that some funding that we applied for from Creative NZ to cover the costs of putting on the live elements show and the North Island tour was unsuccessful - which has put us in a tricky position. 

After much consideration we’ve decided to increase our stretch goal to $15,000 to help us cover these new costs. A stretch goal means that once we’ve reached our initial target of $6,000, we will keep going to try and reach $15,000 and beyond. This new stretch goal doesn’t actually completely cover the new hole in our budget, but it is a great target to reach for, and if it goes beyond that we would be eternally grateful.

This new stretch goal will help us cover:

• Venue hire
• LED Screen hire
• Paying for team for their behind the scenes work setting up the live show and tour
