Overview

Talofa lava, Kia Ora and greetings, On March 24 2024 I’m bringing the original Pasefika opera singers for a once in the lifetime concert for Toi Ahurei Toi o Tamaki Auckland Arts Festival; ‘The O.Gs a celebration of the original Pasefika Opera singers’ This campaign is to fund the 18 piece bespoke orchestra for the event.

Our O.G conductor is Maestro Dr Opeloge Ah Sam.

CAST:

The O.Gs’ is an exciting prospect  and features a veritable who’s who of international opera: *Aivale Cole soprano - Samoa/Niue*Tenors Ben Makisi Tenor  Toga/ Samoa , Siliga Sani Muliaumaseali’i (me!) * Eddie Muliaumaseali’i  Bass Baritone, Samoa * Lotte Latukefu Toga first international Mezzo    * Special guest soprano Deborah Wai Kapohe

The O.Gs are Aotearoa NZ’s living and singing history  and have contributed greatly to the cultural life of our nation and globally. Something worth acknowledging.  This project ignites the spirit, reconciles nostalgia and offers this  generation of artists - and our audiences - a share in the kaumatua arts practise.

The orchestra will likely not had a chance to work along theses Oceanic Giants and this opportunity grants access to a combined career total of two centuries of excellence and experience!

I'm Samoan, and that's one of my homes, I'm a Kiwi and that's another part of who I am. The music I listen to, the work I do, the schools... you know, there's so many different spaces I work within. And there's also the work in the church."
