Damien Wilkins is an outstanding New Zealand writer of novels, short stories and poetry. He is the current Director of the International Institute of Modern Letters at Victoria University, Wellington. He received the Katherine Mansfield Menton Fellowship 2008, and was named an Arts Foundation Te Tumu Toi Laureate in 2013. Colin Belfit, Living With An Artist
Colin Belfit grew up in 1970s Turangi, amongst a culture of tangata whenua, Italian mining families, and American evangelical Christians. After leaving school, he studied at the Auckland Technical Institute to become a Textile Technician. This was a mistake, as he really wanted to be a musician.
