Stretch goal success

A stretch goal is an extension of your target, where you specify the extra funds required to get your art to the next level.

When adding your stretch goal content, it’s a good time to acknowledge the support you have received to reach your target before going on to what you can achieve by reaching your stretch goal. Like your initial campaign description, it helps to be transparent around costs and what the money will be used for.

Stretch goals work best if they have a well-defined purpose. For example: "You've helped me pay for filming, now let's tackle the post-production. Another $2,000 will pay for final sound grading on the final cut."

Unlike your project target, you don't have to hit your stretch goal to get your money.

From here on up, every extra cent you make is yours (minus your 10% Boosted success fee).

When can I add a stretch goal?

You can add a stretch goal to your campaign once you have reached 100% of your target. Your campaign end date stays the same, so your campaign will keep on funding until the last date of your campaign.

If you’d like your mentor to review it before going live, get in touch to let them know and they can review your content and make live on your project page.

This is also a great time to reengage your donors by adding an update to your Boosted campaign. This will email all of your donors that have opted into your campaign updates and is the perfect time to thank your donors for their support and to let them know that you’ve added a stretch goal to your crowdfunding campaign.
