The Films

A series of three short films based in the city of Auckland, that will explore three different problems in modern-day society. These films will limit dialogue, and will instead use dance to convey ideas and emotions...

• The first film 'Wake Up' follows the everyday life of a man, who slowly becomes addicted to his phone before one day breaking out of this ritual and realizing how the world has been overrun by technology.
• The second film "The Dinner Table" follows the story of a young girl who conflicts with her violent father at a dinner table, things escalate until we escape with the girl in her imagination.
• The final film "Where are you from?" tells the story of a young couple on a date who realize how much of their culture has slowly faded away with the years.

Using dance as a medium of storytelling, these short films are sure to entertain and move viewers in a way that is rarely seen today.

Why We Need The Money

The money will be used to:

• Hire the spaces
• Pay the dancers/actors
• Pay for the props

And overall the money will be used for us to have a less stressful time on set :)
