Overview
#WELOVENIVARALOUNGE #SAVEOURVENUES #SAVEOURVENUESNZ
Nivara Lounge is here because of the love of Live Music of all types. It started back in 1997 as JBC (Jazz Blues Concept ), but left for awhile and then recreated itself again in 2014 in the same venue by the same lover of Live Music as Nivara Lounge. There is a cultural well being that comes over all the people that attend live performances, indeed live performances help extend ones life a bit longer through all the goodness that is absorbed by being at a gig.
The basement setting we have in itself makes for great sound for the musicians shows at a close proximity to the audience. Hamilton, Waikato is the birth place of many many wonderful Artists/Bands that New Zealand has. We have had like other cool venues around this amazing country too many on stage to name them all, and want to carry on in the near future with many more live shows. We thank everybody for the past and for the future who are part of our family of Live Music Venue attendees.
Run by a dedicated committee of music lovers - including Reb Fountain, Matthew Crawley (Golden Dawn / Strange News), Lucy Macrae & Tom Anderson (Whammy Bar), Rohan Evans (The Wine Cellar) and Reuben Bonner (Banished Music) - the #SAVEOURVENUES team seek to unite in support of Aotearoa's live music venues and music scene. #SAVEOURVENUES aim is to help generate support for crucial, original, small live music venues right across New Zealand, in cities and towns. And they are calling on everyone to help to raise awareness and funds, and trigger a national response strategy in support of a thriving musical culture in New Zealand.
