WE LOVE Eggsentric Cafe

Nestled in the remote Flaxmill bay on the Coromandel lies the iconic Eggsentric Cafe.  From the white sandy beaches and golden summers we have boogied our way through 22 years of local, international artists. Eggsentric is much more than just a venue, it's a place for fun loving people keen to ride this joy-est life, from one drum beat to the next. 

Eggsentric hosts a range of gigs from indoor dinner and shows to slap ya bum i wanna shake everything i got, we are everything you crave. Backyard garden party anyone? We host Eggfest every summer bringing you guys the freshest acts such as Reb Fountain, Soaked Oats, Ha the Unclear, Racing, joe Ghatt, Marlins Dreaming and many more! Right on our doorstep. People come from all over the country to shake down and have a across the road dip at beautiful Flaxmill bay. 

We are reaching out to everyone for any support possible through this crazy time. We would hate for this family run venue to go under or even lose its charm because of this. Let's keep Eggsentric alive and pumping for many more years!

Run by a dedicated committee of music lovers (including Reb, Matthew Crawley (Golden Dawn / Strange News, Lucy Macrae & Tom Anderson (Whammy Bar), Rohan Evans (The Wine Cellar) and Reuben Bonner (Banished Music)), the #SAVEOURVENUES team seek to unite in support of Aotearoa's live music venues and music scene. To raise awareness and funds, and trigger a national response strategy in support of a thriving musical culture in New Zealand. 

#saveourvenues aim is to help generate support for crucial, original, small live music venues right across New Zealand, in cities and towns. And they are calling on everyone to help. Anyone can do it – artists, audience members, reviewers, techies, promoters – all of us. Please support your local venues. They need you.
