THE RYAN FISHERMAN BAND IN LIVING LIVE STREAM
Enjoy the magic of a Blue Smoke live show from the sanctuary of your own home. Tune into our first ever, one time only, Cassels Blue Smoke Live Stream on Wednesday 3rd June at 8pm and watch Ryan Fisherman and his band perform a dreamy set of new songs.
The debut solo album from Ryan Fisherman has landed in all its country-folk beauty, galloping into earshot from the Ōtautahi plains in mid May, Vibe is a lock-down release worth celebrating! Beam in to Boosted LIVE to support local music and Save Our Venues.
Located on the East side of Christchurch, Cassels Blue Smoke is an endeared cornerstone of Aotearoa’s touring circuit. Five years in the growing has seen our venue evolve into a much loved and valued home of live gigs. We are a welcome platform to many a beloved musician; from emerging local bands to treasured Kiwi and international icons. We’re proud of our shows and thankful to our audience for helping us get where we are today.
The next three months is a crucial time for the entertainment industry. We don’t know what the future holds but we do know that we want to be part of it with you. As we emerge from this period of withdrawal and shut-down, live music will be instrumental in our recovery and rehabilitation as a community.
We are asking for your support so that when that time comes we can open the doors again and bring you more of the shows you love.
Here’s your chance to help. Anyone can do it – artists, audience members, music fans, reviewers, techies, promoters – all of us. First up, you can donate now. Chip in what you can to make a difference. Then, if you feel like being a bit more involved, using the hashtags #welovebluesmoke and #saveourvenues post your own video memory as a response and share this with your community along with the link to this page so that your friends can donate too.
Blue Smoke is the culmination of resourcefulness and dogged faith. It takes a small village to make it happen. Venues provide income, mentoring and support for artists, audiences, techies, independent radio stations, press publications and promoters. They are an integral and foundational part of our creative ecosystem.
By supporting Blue Smoke you are supporting all of us. That is why, if we are fortunate enough to reach our target of 20K, all additional funds will be donated to https://musichelps.org.nz/. MusicHelps have provided emergency assistance to hundreds of Kiwi music people during the Covid-19 pandemic and we want to help them continue with their vital mission.
The money we raise will enable us to get back up and running so that we can bring you live music once again.
Being a part of our Blue Smoke community is the biggest support you can give. Please share your stories and stay in touch, we want to hear from you.
This Boosted campaign is part of a nationwide awareness drive under the banner of Boosted LIVE presents #SAVEOURVENUES.

To raise awareness and funds, and trigger a national response strategy in support of a thriving musical culture in New Zealand.

Anyone can do it – artists, audience members, reviewers, techies, promoters – all of us. Please support your local venues. They need you.
