Wake Up Tomorrow

Wake Up Tomorrow is a theatrical production that will combine the passion and expertise of emerging Wellington theatre practitioners with the enthusiasm of youth from Active. Working within a mentoring framework we are creating a theatre experience that we will present to an initial audience of 300 people over 4 nights at the end of March.

Active is vocational support for young people with an intellectual impairment. With an emphasis on community connections, Active engages different groups in creating confident youth leaders. 

Everybody Cool Lives Here and their team have supported Active in the co-creation of many aspects of the production, from the content to the costumes. 

For a lot of the Active crew this is their first opportunity to create, perform and develop their unique artistic voices.

Your support will assist in making this experience as amazing as possible. Funds raised will go towards the set, costumes, prop's as well as pay for technical elements, such as lighting and sound equipment.

Directed by Sherilee Kahui as part of the Master of Theatre Arts (Directing) programme, co-taught by Toi Whakaari and Victoria University of Wellington.
