Songs of Solitude - Velvet Arrow

Alt-folk duo Velvet Arrow are creating an album 'Songs of Solitude' and need your support to bring it out of utero!

VELVET ARROW takes you down a lost path of dark nights and lonesome dreamers…

Dan Stenhouse and Hannah Jane share a unique blend of harmony, wandering through fields of Alt-Folk into Dark Country and somewhere in between.

Born and raised in the same small town and country music scene in Northland, New Zealand, Dan and Hannah met a lifetime later in 2017 to find they both speak the language of solitude and share a love of melancholic melodies.

Creative musician/producer Dan Stenhouse and songwriter Hannah Jane have been collaborating ever since, recording their own distinctive take on a thoughtfully curated collection of songs and embarking on a journey to bring their prolific folders of original writings out of utero.

We are aiming through Boosted NZ to complete our first Velvet Arrow album so we can share it with you all!

Dan is the genius behind Velvet Arrow, and between us he is the one doing the lion's share of the labour intensive work that goes into creating our music - from recording and mixing to mastering our songs. He does all of our album art, photography and videography, and is responsible for any graphic design we need. He is the one layering instrumental magic on our tracks and working into the wee hours creating the soundscapes you hear in our songs.

We would love to give Dan the space to be able to focus on completing 'Songs of Solitude' this year, and our stretch goal is for the dream of seeing our album on vinyl!
