CAST ANNOUNCEMENT
VANESSA, our lead, will be played by the wonderful JENNIFER WARD-LEALAND! Say whaaaat? Yes, that's right.
I can't even express how much I love Jennifer - she's been a supporter of my work since I introduced myself at the old Maidment Theatre's foyer, back in 2006. Her incredible energy, work ethic and passion are an inspiration.
Jennifer has been the Intimacy Coordinator for this season, so she has worked closely with actors, preparing them to make our intimate scenes safe for the performers and also to look beautiful on camera.
For our last episode, Jennifer will play Vanessa - visiting Auckland on a business trip. After a long day, she has an opportunity when she meets a mysterious young woman - will she enjoy the benefits of her anonymity?
INTRODUCING MORE CAST MEMBERS
First of all, I'd like to thank the kind contributors who donated so far. We just reached 25% of the main goal and I'm so stoked! Your help means the world to me and this project couldn't happen without your kind support - thank you!
Last week I introduced our first cast member: the wonderful Jennifer Ward-Lealand , playing Vanessa, the central character of the episode.
I'd like to introduce another actor who will be part of this story: Pamela Sidhu
Pamela graduated from The Actor's Programme and is a talented actress and dancer. She plays JESS - I can't wait to work with her again.
And, finally, I'd like to recommend a new series called 'It's a Sin' - showing on TVNZ on demand (not a paid endorsement, I just loved the show). Created by Russell T. Davies - the incredible showrunner of 'Years and years', 'Queer as folk' and other amazing British shows. Totally recommended - it will break your heart, but it's a beautiful show.
27%!
Thank you for your contribution (and shares) so far, we are at 27% !!! Thank you, friends - there's still a long way to go, but I just wanted to take the time to say I appreciate your help.
I'd like to introduce another cast member: Connor Johnston, also a recent The Actors Programme Graduate and a great conversationalist. Connor was recently seen on 'Head High', plus he'll appear in an episode of the Lucy Lawless show 'My Life in Murder'. No doubt we'll see more of him in years to come and I'm happy he'll be a part of the Sui Generis family.
33% / 13 days to go!
Hello all! Just a massive thank you to all contributors so far... some of you are anonymous, or I don't have your details. Thank you!
Here's a new teaser for Season 3... 5 beautiful episodes shot so far... your help will make the 6th and final episode happen.
As always, please tell your friends and share the project - I'm keen to do a big push this weekend.
Much love! X
93% and a few hours left!
HUGE thanks to all donors so far, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT. Thank you.
And a BIG SHOUT OUT TO the anonymous donors who gave very generous contributions but chose to remain unknown. I'm honestly floored by your generosity - thank you so much, whoever you are.
We have a few more hours left to close the campaign and we are oh so close to reaching our goal! Please help me spread the word to those who may still be thinking about contributing - any amount counts.
xxRoberto
