Too Much Punch for Judy
Aidan Theatre Company | Theatre
The Project
Aidan Theatre Company is touring the play Too Much Punch for Judy to schools, streets, and community groups over the months of June to August 2021. After a successful schools tour in the Canterbury region in October 2020, we are upping the ante and bringing this powerful verbatim play to new audiences all across the South Island and Wellington region.
Driving is a fact of life for most New Zealanders, it’s something just about all of us do every single day. Another fact of life for many Kiwis is that nothing beats a cold alcoholic beverage after a hard days’ work. But what’s important for our young people to learn is that when these two activities overlap, there can be dire consequences. We believe in the power of theatre to educate and spark important conversations. Our play highlights the negative effects of drink-driving and puts the power of choice into the hands of our audiences.
Your help is needed.
We have the play, we have the team, and we have the know-how to bring this performance to the masses. Now we need your help to get this entirely independently produced show on the road. This Boosted campaign is to cover a small portion of the many costs involved in touring a theatre show. Any and all donations will go towards the following expenses:
It’s going to cost us around $90,000 to tour this show and we want to raise $7,500 from our Boosted family.
If times are a little tough right now and donating is a stretch, we totally understand. Sharing this campaign with your friends is another great way to support us, and it helps us to spread the word about the tour.
