Throwing Stones - Short Film

Help us make our short film 'Throwing Stones' become a reality! Throwing Stones is a story that both Lachie Rennie and myself (Daniel Regal) are incredibly passionate about and would love your help to create. Set in the beautiful small town of Leigh, New Zealand, the film focuses on two 15 year old boys, Gabriel and Duncan, who find a bag of drugs which tests their friendship in ways you wouldn't expect. The film is a comedy-drama that will not only make you laugh out loud but also tug at the heartstrings and capture the classic kiwi adventure that we are sure many of you can relate to.

Who are we?

Lachie Rennie and Daniel Regal are a director and producer combo majoring in Television and Screen Production at AUT. After living with each other for three years this is their dream project and they're so excited to be doing it together. However, they couldn't do this without the help of their awesome team which consists of Christina Milligan as executive producer, Zach McCaig-Megson as cinematographer, Felix Zhang as sound operator, and Kartar Singh as Directors Assistant.

Why help us?

Obviously to make a movie it costs money and although this is a short film it still takes money and as students we don't have this kind of moola lying around. So, we need your help! This is our final project during our time at university, we want to go out with a bang and make our vision come to life. This has been the culmination of three years of study and we really want to make it all worth it.
