The White Room Wants You

The White Room Creative Space is about making art and we want to make it with you. The White Room advocates for the artists inclusion in contemporary arts practice through supporting their art making, participation in exhibitions and other creative projects.

To support our aim of removing barriers to participation in arts and creative activities we want to run 4 artists residences in The White Room working with artists who use the space. The residencies will be open to artists from Ōtautahi and to all art forms, each will be a week long and at the end of the project an exhibition will be held showing the work produced during the residencies.

Artists from The White Room Creative Space will form an integral part of the process of selecting the artists to undertake the residencies. Each artist will be paid for their week long residency and to produce work for the exhibition.
