The Next Phase

Overview
Since we opened Pea Sea Art in 2018, our community has been asking us for art classes and workshops and that's exactly what we plan to do! We're so excited about it and can't wait to begin this next phase to create an even more amazing hub for the community.
Your donation will help pay for:
- Roller blinds (for privacy during life drawing classes - no peep shows sorry)
- Materials (paper, charcoal, paints, lino, ink etc.)
- Equipment (easels, drawing boards, tools etc.)
- Tutor fees and model fees for a few sessions
- Printed material for promotional purposes (poster runs)
- Power bill relief so we can blast the fan heaters during winter classes
- Tea, coffee, milk, bikkies
Being closed during the COVID lockdown and having to postpone a bunch of exhibitions set us back in our growth plans, which included classes. With your help, we'll be ready to start regular art sessions sooner than we could without you. We know this next phase will be a great addition to Port Chalmers and we are seriously super excited!

Project Updates
One third raised, 20 days left! Roller blinds...ordered!
HUGE thanks [big smiles].
We had the windows measured up by McKenzie & Willis before launching this campaign. They were kind enough to offer a discount of about 20% for what we wanted (light-blocking, white, rollerblinds). The blinds will allow privacy when needed, better control of gallery lighting for taking photos, and may be useful as a screen for video projections. Since we're so so confident that we'll reach our target [crossing fingers], we have just given the 'thumbs up' for the roller blinds to be made. They'll be ready...when they're ready. People have been into the gallery recently (some who have donated) to say they're so glad that we'll be running classes here. We are too, it's gonna be a lot of work - I mean fun, it's gonna be lots of fun!
