The King

Hello! My name is Mirene, and I am the writer and director of the upcoming short film "THE KING" I am working with a talented group of students from Unitec to tell this extraordinary story.

It's about self-acceptance through the world of Drag, especially Drag kings! This is a really important story for me as it stems from my real-life experiences, so being able to tell this authentically is exciting. In saying that, to be able to create something extraordinary, we would need help from YOU!

That's why we have decided to set up crowdfunding to help us without pre-production, Shoot days, Post Production and marketing/entries into festivals.

Your donations would help us with food for actors, crew and extras, Transport fees, the Art department, venue hire, music rights, and the list goes on! Essentially we need all the help we can get to put this film up on a big screen!
