The Face Behind Fur
Amy Mackenzie | Film
Overview
This documentary follows the interests of Richard Fray, a member of a lesser-known subculture in New Zealand; furries. As a furry, Richard enjoys all things to do with anthropomorphic animals, particularly dressing up in full animal suits. The documentary takes a light and positive approach to exploring the ins and outs of this fandom through Richard. It promotes acceptance of others, no matter how bizarre they may seem.
We are two television students in our final year of AUT and this is our biggest project yet. We have already invested a lot of time and effort into the making of this film and are excited to bring it to life.
To make this documentary happen we need donations. Any contributions will go towards feeding our crew and transport costs.
No contribution is too small, anything will help!
