“The Clitoris Conundrum” Stage Play
The Clitoris Conundrum is the story of a clitoris that doesn't cum and the journey to figuring out a) why, and b) how to fix it. It delves into the ripple effects of sexual assault with an “are-you-fucking-kidding-me” comedic lens by blending traditional theatre with dance, drag and the odd spoken word.
We want our community to come away from this experience feeling heard, empowered to talk about their trauma if they wish, and knowing that things do get better.
Our team is composed of accomplished artists, dancers, and writers - however, our key creative team are all experiencing new roles for this medium of entertainment for the first time. This project allows our artists in our creative team to develop and hone their skills to become more confident multi-faceted practitioners.
The story delves into some dark places. Largely drawing on writer Connor Amor-Bendall’s experience with sexual assault and learning to be intimate again, our intention for this play is to be empowering yet also deal with this content gracefully.
Our Boosted Campaign

$1,300: Intimacy coordination and intimacy content management fees for two crew members
$2,000: Part-stipend support for four cast members and part-wage support for choreographer
$72: Nine additional hours of rehearsals space
$300: Script review fee for professional writer
$90: Part-stipend support for printing and office administration needs, and riders for Basement Theatre season
$879.75: Promotional photoshoot
The final $500 of our raise will go towards Boosted Art's 10% revenue share agreement.
