The Butler Did It
Duct Taped On | Theatre
Overview
There's been a murder at the theatre! 'The Butler Did' It is a fast-paced chaotic comedy, jam packed with humour, skillfully pairing physical gags with well timed jokes and sharp wit. There's a pun or quip for everyone.
We're creating an updated sequel to our sold out Fringe show of the same name. More jokes, more blood, more jabs at Lower Hutt. Detectives Didit and Dunnit are on the case once again! Coming to BATS Theatre this September.
We need $800 to cover rehearsal space and set/prop costs so we have the means to pay our cast and crew, something that is even more important in the art space now.
Having a consistent rehearsal space means we can bring you the best crime solving Wellington has to offer, and a prop budget means even more knives, clues, and chaos.
The Butler Did It Team consists of
Co-Directors: Isabella Murray and R Correll Trnka
Detective Didit: Adam Herbert
Detective Dunnit: David Bowers-Mason

Project Updates
Thank You and A New Clue
We made our goal! Thank you so much to everyone who has donated. We greatly appreciate the sleuthing help. With a few days left we're now aiming for our stretch goal of $1000. This allows us to implement our more ambitious plans, and guarantee a flat fee payment for our actors.
While fundraising we have been searching for clues, and we found information about a show coming to BATS Theatre this September. Suspiciously on the same dates as The Butler Did It. Here's the description we tracked down. Surely nothing bad could happen there...
'From the minds of Shakespeare and local Wellington icon Killian Murdock, Killian Murdock presents Goodnight Sweet Prince. This is a multidisciplinary extravaganza using the Bard's work to explore life through death, and getting to the heart of what it means to be human. This one man spectacular covers every fatal scene from Titus to Troilus (and all the others), and is a showcase of the many many talents of a true superstar.'
