Hello from The Bitches’ Box!

We’ve been taking our hilarious dog characters to the back blocks of Aotearoa since 2011. This is homegrown, grassroots, No.8 wire comedy that is distinctly and authentically ‘kiwi’.

Through partnering with Rialto Films, we’re so excited to finally be taking our work to a much wider audience. Although, we’ve got the support of some really wonderful rural companies, and we’re charging towards our budget goal we still have a way to go.

This is where you come in! We’re asking our wonderful supporters to help get us over the line. 

Over the years we’ve seen first hand the profound impact this rural-based comedy has had on communities. Declining mental health and well-being is a constant topic of conversation within the rural sector and the change in public perception has been one of the harder challenges to overcome.

Laughter really is the best medicine. This film is taking us to a much wider audience, reaching those rural people who haven’t encountered us yet and also giving the wider nation a chance to celebrate the characters of heartland New Zealand. 

And a happy farmer is good for everyone! It may seem small, but we’ve seen first hand the positive ripples our pant-wetting (allegedly) comedy can create in this community and the far reaching effects that has.
