Your donation will help us to stage THE PREMIERE SEASON OF JAMIE MCCASKILL'S THE BIGGEST IN WELLINGTON AT THE HANNAH PLAYHOUSE THIS YEAR.
We have already been generously funded by Creative New Zealand but we are asking you for a few more bucks for some costumes for the actors to wear & some staging for the actors to act on.
The Biggest is the third part of award winning writer Jamie McCaskill's Thames trilogy and most certainly The Biggest. It is a nod to the rural men of Aotearoa presented in a light hearted comedy for all.
Soon to be the biggest comedy in New Zealand, THE BIGGEST is a hilarious look at raw rural men navigating their way through life in small town New Zealand and chugging a few beers on the way.
Starring Jim Moriarty (Mahana), Peter Hambleton (The Hobbit), Tim Gordon (The Kick), Apirana Taylor (NZ Poet), Wesley Dowdell (Outrageous Fortune) and Moana Ete (Fly My Pretties), The Biggest will have audiences rolling in their seats with laughter as this unique group of friends try to win their mate a boat by catching The Biggest fish.
The Biggest was developed as part of the 2016 Matariki Development Festival and was recieved with cheering and applause after it's first reading. It is produced by emerging M?ori theatre company, Tikapa Productions. You may have seen: Not on Our Neighbourhood, The Moa Show, Manawa, The M?ori Sidesteps.
Written & Directed by Jamie McCaskill - Bruce Mason Award 2013
Not In Our Neighbourhood scored the Best new New Zealand play & Best Actress awards at the Wellington Theatre Awards 2015.
Thanks for taking your time to have a look at our campaign. Thanks so much for your support and tell a friend and another friend, te mea te me te mea and help us put the show on the Wellington main stage.
Nga mihi tino nui ki a koutou katoa
