Overview
The project.
Directed by Cook Islands artist Nina Oberg Humphries, Tagata Moana Trust is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the advancement of Pacific peoples.
Through the amplification of Pacific arts, language and culture, we design and deliver STEaM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) educational programs and projects for Pacific peoples of all ages.
Help us open FIBRE Gallery.
Tagata Moana Trust is opening FIBRE Gallery in Ōtautahi. The first of its kind in Te Wai Pounamu. FIBRE Gallery is a distinctly Moana gallery, dedicated to the display of community-engaged, digital and heritage arts by Moana artists and creatives from throughout Aotearoa.
With 50% of the exhibition programme highlighting artists from the South Island, FIBRE Gallery is a much needed platform for artists to experiment and display work.
The Ask.
We need your help to complete our FIBRE Gallery fit-out!
We have signed the lease, built the walls, and quite literally hustled the gib. Now, we need some killer lighting to illuminate Moana art in all its glory. Your donations will cover the cost of much-needed track lighting and installment, as well as go towards plastering and paint supply costs.
How can you help?
You can help by donating – big or small – to this Boosted campaign, by sharing our campaign through your social channels, and by visiting our inaugural exhibition opening in July. More information to come!
Thank you so much for your support!
