Sweet Home

The Project
The concept behind this idea is bringing light to the small moments in life. After discovering the film styles of Larry Clarke, Harmony Korine and other 90s film-makers I have become fascinated with the romanticising of everyday life. Simply beauties that keep people interested through understanding the personalities and lives of the people captured.
Although social media has had a positive impact on certain forms of photography, I think we are losing those candid 'day in the life,' photos we see in our parents photo albums which have a nostalgic charm that give certain feelings that no 'planned' photo can give.
Having multiple artists work on the project with the same concept in mind will be interesting to see how they interpret this concept into their own lives.
To keep the project visually consistent I have created a mood board to spark interest for the artists and but from there they will be given complete creative freedom with their photos. From there I plan to create the 'SWEET HOME Magazine,' with these photos and hopefully can inspire others to claim this form of photography back for our generation.
The money raised from this campaign will go towards buying the cameras, helping out with the subscription to photoshop/indesign for editing the magazine together and the printing of the magazine itself. Depending on the interest of the magazine as a physical copy I also plan on creating a website for future work around this idea.
