The project

The Songwriter's Diary Podcast is an insightful look behind the curtains of artists, songwriters, producers, composers, and sound designers. Each episode features a special guest to have an in-depth conversation about their process, inspiration, and the general ups and downs of life as a musician.

What inspired this project?

I started The Songwriter's Diary Podcast for my younger self. When I first started making music I wanted to be a fly on the wall and hear music makers sharing what they do in great detail, especially what happens behind the scene. I really wanted to know how long musicians practised, how long it took them to write an album, how they found their producer, which microphone they used or how they got that gig! and that is how The Songwriters Diary was born!

I need help raising funds to pay every special guest I interview from January 2022 - December 2022. This project is for all music creators, for them to share their art, stories and how they are navigating the music industry.

Funds raised will be used to help cover the costs of:

• Paying 24 special guests - $1,440 -  ($120 a month)
• Audio/Design platform subscriptions: $560 -  ($46 a month)
• 10% goes to Boosted - $250
• The remaining $250 keeping the podcast running ($20 a month)
