Somebody Do Something's Debut Album and Tour
Somebody Do Something | Music
Overview
We are a seven-piece project from Ōtautahi, Christchurch. A pretty eclectic bunch; over the years our diverse musical paths have led some of us into metal, some to jazz, classical, pop, rock and now into the funky sound world that we’re creating together in this collaboration of musical souls called ‘Somebody Do Something’.
We started by making music from the classic garage studio, and now we want to share the sounds we’ve been cultivating with the world!
Earlier this year, we released our very first batch of tunes to the world with a four-track EP. Since then, we have had a lot of time to develop our sound as gigs have not been going ahead with the whole *ahem* pandemic situation that is currently wiping the floor with the world. So, now we have a full album's worth of original songs that we’re so excited to share with you and with the world!
We are currently working on producing a music video for our next single, planning a national tour for 2022, and recording our debut album. All of these epic projects require funds, which unfortunately we haven't been able to make through performing due to the restrictions on live music during Covid-19 this year.
With your help, the funds raised through this Boosted campaign will help us cover:
- Studio time to record our debut album set to be released in 2022
- Video production costs our first music video
- Touring costs for a nation-wide tour happening in March
We know times are a bit tough at the moment and if you are not in the position to donate, we would appreciate it hugely if you could share our campaign with your tribe.
We truly thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support in bringing our art to the world during a time when our souls just really need some dang music!
