RM Women’s Moving Image Archive
RM Gallery and Project Space | Visual Art
Overview
The RM Women’s Moving Image Archive is a platform for emerging and contemporary moving image artists to contribute their work. The goal is to assemble a contextual archive of women’s moving image in Aotearoa and have this accessible online.
In order to facilitate the continued development of the Archive, RM is seeking $2,000 to:
- Expand the Women’s Moving Image Archive through an open call for work (this can be new or existing work).
- Assist an artist (selected from the open call) to produce a new moving image work that will be exhibited at RM Gallery in 2021.
- Increase the hosting and video viewing capacity of the RM Women’s Moving Image Archive website.
- Fund additional online and offline storage of the Archive.
Established in 2019, the RM Women’s Moving Image Archive endeavours to trace, catalogue, preserve, exhibit, and circulate women’s moving image works. It is intended as a resource for artists, curators, researchers, arts organisations, schools and the wider public.
