Rewa All Stars USA Tour 2019

In June 2018, the Rewa All Stars went viral with their Street Dance performance of Fresh Outta Rewa.

A tribute to the 90's sitcom Fresh Prince of Bel Air, the set placed second at the 2018 NZ Street Dance Championships. Completely student led and driven, the Manurewa High School dancers co-created a fun, vibrant and universally appealing choreography, which captured the hearts and minds of millions, including Will Smith, the Fresh Prince, himself.

The positive publicity and exposure resulted in Hip Hop New Zealand inviting the Rewa All Stars to showcase at the world championships in Phoenix, Arizona, August 2018. However, with only six weeks to fundraise, the Rewa All Stars missed out on a once in a lifetime opportunity.

The dream has not been lost however and the Rewa All Stars are now working relentlessly to fundraise approximately $165,000.00 so that they might attend Hip Hop New Zealand in 2019. By living the school values of R-espect, E-xcellence, W-hanangatanga and A-koranga, the Rewa All Stars know that anything is possible. However, they can't achieve their dreams without the support of whaanau, the wider community and beyond.
