THE STORY

Jamie struggles to fit in as locker room politics of girls with contoured bodies and smooth skin makes her body hair a nightmare. When she shaves for the first time, her body hair rebels, growing back with a vengeance.

THE VISION

When adolescence hits as a young girl, you're taught to shave. There is no choice. No negotiation. Shaving is a rite of passage.

Revenge of the Follicle critiques an anti-body hair culture impressed upon women from adolescence. It explores the innate animalism of our bodies and its uncontrollable revenge when we desire to tame them. This coming of age horror film embraces the beasts that come with growing up.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION

Our goal for funding is $500, which will go toward production costs and ensuring that people's valuable time doesn't go uncompensated. This includes costs toward hiring locations, travel costs, and production design to increase the overall quality of the film. Any additional contributions will go toward enetering this film into film festivals.
