THE STORY

‘Relive’ is a film about a girl named Sophia who wakes up the morning of her 20th birthday to find out her destined fate and the deadly outcome that comes with it through mysterious floating polaroids. She is then left with an important question – will she follow her prewritten path to success, or will she take a new direction?

This whole film looks into issues that many teenagers, young adults and adults are constantly faced with. We all have moments where we question what we want to do with our lives: what career path will we take, what will our life look like in the future, will we be successful, will we be happy? So, we wanted to explore what would happen if we did have the answers to these questions, and see what you would do knowing your path in life. Or is it better to not know these answers and let life play out for itself?

THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE FILM

We are Anastasia (Director) and Taylor (Producer), currently in our last year at AUT studying Television and Screen Production. We are both very excited to bring this project to life and showcase a visually intriguing film that tackles a deeper and thought-provoking theme. With ‘Relive’ we aim to make a film that is powerful visually and emotionally, whilst taking a bold step towards a career beyond our previous AUT work.

WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP

Fortunately, we've got a strong crew of incredibly dedicated, talented filmmakers that are willing to lend their time and resources in kind. Sadly, our student budget will not cover the costs of producing this film, which is why we need you guys.

We need help covering crucial costs like:

Actors – We want to make sure that our actress and actor’s time and commitment are fairly compensated for.

Food – Over our 3 shooting days we need to make sure our 7-9 crew and cast are well fed and energized to produce their best work.

Transport – Our film requires our cast and crew to travel across Auckland so we need to make sure we can all get there safely and on time.

Special Effects – a huuuge portion of our film requires special effects and stock footage to bring the floating polaroids and it’s memories to life. This is where the majority of our budget will be going towards.

Worldwide Film Festivals – we aim to submit this film to various film festivals for others to experience this story and get our foot into the industry after our studies.

Every cent donated will be put towards the final film, and your money will be used to take the production value of this film to the next level. We would truly appreciate all donations, whether it’s just $5 or $1,400! It will mean the world to us if we are able to reach our goal and bring this film to life for you to see. Also, NZ donors qualify for a 33% tax rebate.
