RED VELVET

Overview:

Hi, we’re making a short drama with crime and mystery and seek your support to make our film ‘Red Velvet’.

About the film:

Red Velvet is a thrilling drama that follows a detective in the late 1930’s to 1940’s uncovering the murder of a local cabaret dancer in a sleezy motel. After examining the scene, he uncovers some haunting parallels to his own personal life which he desperately tries to bury. Utilising both colour and black and white film, Red Velvet explores tropes common within the film noir genre while giving a modern twist.

The Team:

This film is being created by Jordan Johnson-Taylor (Director and Writer) and Neev Aryan (Producer). We are supported by an extremely talented and hardworking crew. Our Executive Producer Christina Milligan brings her wealth of experience and expertise to the team.

Why we need you!

We are in our final year of Film production at AUT and as part of our project we need your help to fund this endeavour. 

While we are operating leanly and have many people that are helping us out with the project free of charge, there are still some costs that come with filmmaking and we are counting on your generosity to help make this dream a reality

How you can help:

Your donations will go towards paying for cost of location, costumes, travel and props. With your help, we can arrange decent meals for our cast and crew many of whom are volunteers.
