PLUNGE COMICS NZ

We are a group of 3 very motivated individuals who love comic books, anime and being creative. We want to raise the next generation of talented and motivated creative people in our community of Northland and Whangarei, New Zealand.

Here are the 3 things that the Plunge Enterprises NZ Ltd, does under the operating name of Plunge Comics NZ:

1. PLUNGE! Pop Culture Convention - our community initiative which we operate on a volunteer basis.

We are planning for 2 other areas outside of Whangarei in the next 12 months; Dargaville and Kerikeri.

2. Plunge Studios NZ -cultivating and publishing locally created comics and graphic novels in all genre types.

This is so that we are able to tell our NZ and Pacific based stories created by, or either written or illustrated by local and national creatives working with international creatives. This is so that we are able to raise the talent pool as well as give them opportunities to showcase their work on an international stage working alongside our partners at Rising Sun Publishing, through their Oceania division, which Aru sits as director over.

This means that any quality comic book that is greenlit will end up in comic book stores around America. As well as all over the world through subscriptions and digital formats. We have through the PLUNGE! Pop Culture Convention (PLUNGE!), have already started a "Our Kids Komics" initiative to get kids and youth to create comics which will be published next year for PLUNGE! 5 as a printed release.

3. SUNSPOT Magazine - a promotional publication which promotes NZ and international creatives within the Pop Culture community.

Articles, interviews, comic strips, comics, reviews, art, all so that we can show what New Zealand creatives are capable of. The digital version is available currently available through www.risinsuncomics.com. But we are hoping that we can raise enough cash to produce it each year in print format.

4. Podcast & Blogs - Blogs and podcasting to promote New Zealand wide creatives, fans, events all over the world with a New Zealand and Pacific Islands perspective.

We are in this to create, promote and distribute what is created in our wider community to the rest of the world.
