Ōtepoti Music Compilation
Ōtepoti Music Compilation | Music
Overview
The Ōtepoti Music Compilation will be a collection of new Ōtepoti music by wāhine and gender-diverse led artists, organised by Dunedin-based musician and artist Alex Huber.
It will feature a wide variety of music from art rock to electronic to indie folk to punk and more by new and established local musicians.
The compilation is a celebration of the incredible diversity of our music scene here in Ōtepoti. The album will be available on Bandcamp and cassette tape, with profits from the sales going straight back to the artists involved.
Mastering will be done by Emily Wheatcroft-Snape (Record Enable) and cover art will be done by a local artist (TBC).
Alex Huber plays in Ōtepoti band Hystera and has played and been involved in the organisation of small and medium sized local gigs over the past two years. They are the co-founder of music YouTube channel Syrup Bois, who film and record local live music from their lounge.
We need to raise money to pay for mastering, original artwork, and a cassette tape release.
