Nyree Huyser EP

Kia ora!

My name is Nyree Huyser, I am a mum of 3 who recently had the incredible privilege of featuring as a contestant on The Voice Australia season 12! Can you help me keep going and further my dream of pursuing a successful music career?? I am hoping to raise $5000 to studio record a brand new EP with Ōtautahi producer Marley Sola and finally tell the world my story!

So what is my story?

Like many other mums, when I had my beautiful children my life changed - it was no longer about me, I sacrificed my hopes and dreams to make sure they had the best life possible. I thought my time for pursuing a career as a recording artist was well and truly over. Participating in The Voice Australia has opened my eyes to a world of possiblities, to a sense that it's never too late and that women really can have it all! Although New Zealand is packed full of incredibly talented artists, stories told by women are still desperately needed in our male-dominated charts. For the first time in my life I am extremely driven, focused and passionate about making music and performing songs that inspire people, that make my children proud and that make a difference in people's lives.

What can you expect?

Your generous funding will help me to write, record and master 3 brand new songs for your listening pleasure! My musical style is an eclectic mixture of pop, disco, electronic, piano and live band sounds, polished of with powerhouse wahine vocals! If you are a fan of strong power ballads and dance beats you'll love what I am set to create!
