New Zealand Art in Japan
Tara Douglas | Visual Art
Overview
My name is Tara Douglas, I'm a New Zealand artist based in Christchurch. I make sculptural works and installations from paper and card, and I have been selected for an art residency in Onishi, Japan, from August to October 2015. Japan has been a great source of inspiration for my art work, since staying there in 2011, so I will return there to work on a fresh new project.
This is a great opportunity to get contemporary New Zealand art out into the world. Through the residency I will have the chance to work on a new sculptural installation, which will be exhibited as part of the Kana Fall Arts Festival, September - October.
The $1120 in pledges I hope to secure from Boosted will go toward the cost of accommodation and studio space from August to October at Shiro Oni Studio, Onishi, Japan.
To keep up-to-date with developments you can follow Tara Douglas Art on Facebook: www.facebook.com/tdouglasart

I may look a little camera shy in the video, but I am outgoing, passionate about making art, and ready to take on a new challenge.
Thanks for your support!
