Nothing is more authentic than OUR STORIES told by OUR PEOPLE.
Our Oceanic community has never seen a young adult coming of age story.
Our upcoming generations deserve to see themselves on the big screen.
Our young people are hilarious, vibrant and resilient.

We should have more representation where our youth can see themselves in the characters, are affirmed in their individuality and rocky journey. 

With your help we can get Malagasa off the ground!

The film will include:

a love story,
talanoa of disaporic Aotearoa born Pacific Islanders,
hyena cackles,
the Rock's cousin,
a sick soundtrack and much more.

It's fitting that Malagasa’s funding will be a community effort because this one is for the community.
