The Project
Kia Ora!
I’m Tsenate an Ethiopian RnB artist/producer. I’m doing a crowdfunding campaign, and I’m so happy you landed on this page. I’m already so grateful for the support that I’ve had over the last couple of years making music!
Over the last three years in the industry, my music has truly grown and evolved with me and reflects my life as a young woman raised by Ethiopian parents in Aotearoa (New Zealand). I takes inspiration from many alternative R&B artists such as Steve Lacy, H.E.R, SZA, Cleo Sol to name a few. I debuted with my single "4 the ride" in 2021, and in 2022, I released my second single, "no1 else feels like home." This year I released my third single and music video, "SUPERSTAR" which was released with the support of Youth Arts New Zealand and the Auckland Council. I’m so blessed to say that SUPERSTAR has reached over 10,000 streams on Spotify.
I’ve been working on my debut EP ‘love never adds up’ and the music is finally all done! I’ve launched this campaign with the intention of raising funds for my music video for my leading single ‘girl 132.’ This project is a collection of songs that I wrote in my bedroom at 16. The music is reflective of the turbulent moments of my romantic and platonic relationships. ‘love never adds up’ means a lot to me as it highlights key moments of my life and shows my raw emotions during those challenging periods of my life.
I think the sensitivity of this EP makes it relatable to listeners regardless of the stage of life there in. Your generous contributions will go towards getting my music video recorded.
