LOOPS
Company Hiraeth | Multi Discipline
The Project
Loops is a multi-disciplinary performance piece about the frustrations and repercussions of trying to make a career in the arts, explored through live sound & aerial art. This is for the artists who are stuck in a loop and are not sure how to break out.
Loops is being presented as part of the New Zealand Fringe Festival, at BATS Theatre from the 22-24 Feb 2022. This is the debut season presented by Company Hiraeth, a multi-disciplinary, design-led live art company based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara.
The primary themes explored through this work focus on mental health & wellbeing, and how working in the arts (especially over the last two years) can be detrimental to this. One area of wellbeing that is one of the most challenging in the arts is financial wellbeing. By donating to our boosted campaign, you will be helping us get closer to paying our talented artists a proper industry rate as they deserve.
Tickets for the season can be booked here: https://bats.co.nz/whats-on/loops/
Created by designers Benny Jennings & Brynne Tasker-Poland, performed by Frances Muir, Leanne Jenkins and Benny Jennings.
