Overview

Ā Tātou Kōrero - Our Story

E NOHO is a live streamed music show created and hosted by artist Ed Waaka, initiated in March 2020 as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic to promote mental wellbeing and connection through music and storytelling during lockdown.

Originally aired from Ed’s home studio, E NOHO has featured over 47 emerging and established NZ artists including Troy Kingi, MeloDownz, ARO, Mara TK, Lou’ana, ARIA, Arjuna Oaks, Kerryn Fields, PRINS, CHAII, KITA, AJA, Jenny Mitchell, VIKAE, Alayna and many more.

Along our journey we have been fortunate enough to work alongside organisations in support of NZ artists including The NZ Music Commission - NZ Music Month, Auckland Council - Music In Parks, Music Helps and UNESCO City of Music.

Ā Tātau Whāinga - Our Why

Our intention is to help artists and audiences reconnect after the digital disconnect caused by COVID-19. We want to provide opportunities for artists to share their music and stories in an intimate and authentic way, while creating unique live music experiences for audiences that promote meaningful connection between people and the environment.

To tautoko us on our journey, we have partnered with Little Wilderness, an off-the-grid eco venue located in the heart of Kumeu.

Little Wilderness Co-Owner George Vodanovich says:

"regeneration is the main driver and end game for Little Wilderness. As most green spaces disappear in the city, we are working to restore the native forest and stream that flows through our property. We’ve created areas to remind people how enjoyable and precious these wild green spaces are."

Through this partnership we aim to create a unique, intimate and engaging live music experience with a focus on reconnection and environmental regeneration through music.

Ā Tātau Kaupapa - Our Project

'Live in the Wild'

We are looking at crowdfunding to purchase our own film & audio production equipment to help us produce a year round series of live music events called 'Live in the Wild' , hosted in and around Little Wilderness.

Funds from this campaign will enable us to showcase and promote emerging and established artists and capture their performances for online audiences here and abroad.

The video header above, showcases some of the unique spaces available at Little Wilderness. Included is a recent E NOHO production to give donors an insight to what live events and recordings would look and feel like as an audience member.

Your help is needed.

  • Funds from this Boosted campaign will pay for our own film & audio production equipment that will allow us to continue to create high quality events & content year round in support of NZ Music.
  • Ticket sales from each event goes direct to artists and production crew.

Production Equipment Includes:

  • Digital Video Camera / Lenses
  • Camera Gimbal
  • Multi Channel Audio Interface / Mixer
  • Microphones

E NOHO
is a 2 year passion project born out of our love for NZ Music. Any donation made to this kaupapa, big or small, is truly appreciated.

Join us on our journey as we continue to connect Aotearoa through music and storytelling.
