We are a fun and vibrant Polynesian family—Charles (father), Cara (11), and Massiel (8). Life with Laveas is our creative project, aimed at promoting Pacific voices by showcasing family values, cultural heritage, and creative expression through fashion, music, and food.

Through engaging podcast/vodcast episodes, we’re building a bilingual platform to entertain, educate, and inspire Pacific youth and families across Aotearoa.

Our content focuses on family bonding, cultural identity, and traditional practices, while blending modern perspectives.

We want to raise awareness about the importance of wellbeing through family connections and meaningful conversations.

Meet the Laveas:

Charles - Father

Born and raised in South Auckland, Charles is a proud Samoan father with family ties to Samatau and Vailutai in Samoa. He works for a Pasifika mental health organisation and loves creating content with his daughters to spread positivity.

Cara - Eldest Daughter

Cara, 11 years old, is mature beyond her years and excellent at articulating her feelings. She loves playing netball and listening to music. Cara cherishes spending quality time with her family.

Massiel - Youngest Daughter

Massiel, 8 years old, is full of charisma and quick wit. As the main character of Life with Laveas, her kindness, humour and lovable personality make her easy to connect with and a joy to watch.
