Kotuku Rerenga Rua

Overview
When you're larger-than-life and you've cheated death. When your heart is busted and you've hurt the ones you love. How do you make peace? What will you leave behind?
Raconteur, reo expert and entertainer Kotuku Tibble (Ngati Porou, Tuwharetoa, Ngati Raukawa) recently died. He believes he was sent back by his ancestors to make peace with those he loves and to leave a legacy for his descendants. The problem is, his ancestors sent him back with just a quarter of a heart.
Kotuku Rerenga Rua (The second flight of the White Heron) follows the journey of Kotuku as he struggles through mental and physical illness to redefine his life and become the husband, father and leader he believes he was destined to be.
We are thrilled that Kotuku Rerenga Rua has been selected to be part of the Loading Docs initiative, an exciting launch-pad for New Zealand film-making talent. Because they really want to see this film get made, Loading Docs, along with principal partner NZ on Air, the New Zealand Film Commission, and Te Maangai Paaho, have committed $4,000 to our film. However, this funding only becomes available if we can raise at least $2,000 of our own via this Boosted campaign. As soon as we reach the goal, filming can begin!
Any amount given is hugely appreciated!
