Overview
"KIWI DIP: The Rural New Zealand Centennial Celebration of the Benita Martinez Memorial Under Twenty-Five Salsa Competition" - a short film.
'KIWI DIP' is a mockumentary-style short film that follows the community of small, rural town of Kanikani Iwi as they frantically prepare for the 100 year anniversary of their historic salsa competition.
The hopes, dreams, trials and tribulations of the townspeople are captured candidly by a visiting documentary crew. Often funny, always honest, the film offers a glimpse into the isolated little world of a small town with a very big heart.
Unitec's 3rd Year Acting class of 2017 is working tirelessly on this, our Graduate Film. The responsibility is entirely handed to our class to transition from devising and creating our script, to funding and producing this project.
This a great opportunity to get our foot in the door of our creative film industry. We have collaborated to create a very special New Zealand film depicting an array of people in our country, and we need your help to fulfil our vision and create a stunning Grad Film!
