JP'S DEBUT EP

KIA ORA BEAUTIFUL HUMANS! THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE FIRST STEP IN HELPING ME REACH MY CRAZY DREAMS!

My name is John-Paul Foliaki also known as JP and I am a creative artist from South Auckland, NZ. I’m a proud NZ-born Tongan and I'm putting this campaign together in the hopes that you will help me raise the funds needed to create my very first EP. 

MY MUSIC JOURNEY

Since starting out in 2017, I've had many amazing opportunities. My highlights include opening for Eric Bellinger, a Grammy Award winning RnB genius who has written for the likes of Beyonce, Usher, Rihanna and all your favourite artists, opening for one of my high school favourites, Sean Kingston (something I’ll never forget) and thanks to my community, I even got the opportunity to open at Homegrown that year.

But despite these cool opportunities I came across some personal challenges. Dealing with my own insecurities as an artist, online backlash and balancing my music with my professional career as a recent graduate took a toll on me. So, I stepped away from music for a few years but now I’m ready to be the artist I know I can be. 

COOL STORY BUT WHY SHOULD YOU CARE? WHY SHOULD YOU HELP?

Now that I'm stepping back out on the scene I want to give it the best shot possible. This means I need to raise enough funds and resources to be able to pay for studio time, an awesome producer and someone who can professionally mix and master my tracks so my EP is perfect for release. Add in video, distribution and promotion costs - yep, this shi is expensive! That’s why I would love and appreciate your help so much!

By donating to this campaign, you’re allowing me to pursue what I love and you're supporting other young creatives. These are videographers, dancers, stylists and make-up artists who will all play a part in bringing this EP to life.
