Ithaca - value our circus artists
The Dust Palace | Theatre
Overview
The Dust Palace are bringing our next big show to the stage. As we take you on the journey to Ithaca, we invite you to help us get there.
Your support through this campaign helps value the hours, weeks and months that these incredible cirque artists have dedicated to creating the best show yet.
The Sci-Fi Cirque
The past meets the future in "Ithaca", a sci-fi cirque cabaret retelling of Homer's Odyssey. It's an evening of hyperdrive suspense and cosmic decadence, where the audience is taken on a spectacular journey of epic proportions as Odysseus fights to return to his love, Penelope.
The Artists to Pay
To create a circus act requires months of training, no matter how proficient the artist is at their craft. This is on top of the regular training needed to maintain a safe and strong physique... which is on top of the time it takes to develop group acrobatic work to a safe and high standard. And this all sits on top of the time it requires to rehearse a show ... like Ithaca.
Dust Palace’s 2020 Experience
For the last ten years we've by and large been able to keep many of these acrobats and aerial artists with enough event work to act as a stipend, supporting the creation of shows like Ithaca. Covid-19 has rendered us unable to do that this time... there are no other resources we can pool.
Join the Journey now
Join us on our intergalactic journey across the universe! Be the first to catch glimpses of our new and unique acts as they are developed!
Come behind the scenes into the daily lives of our amazing acrobats! And get involved as we piece together the biggest and most ambitious show in Dust Palace's history!
Your support goes directly to paying the artists for their epic dedication and hours of hard mahi.
Thank you for your thoughts at this time, without people such as you, we would not be able to create the things we do!
