Into The Vernacular
Into The Vernacular | Visual Art
Overview
"Into The Vernacular" is a global collaboration of photographers who are interested in photography of the "now". These are photographers who appreciate and explore the ordinary and often underappreciated spaces and environments.
This exhibition aims to support lesser known international and New Zealand based photographers and exposing their work to a new audience.
Because of Aotearoa New Zealand's unique position within the global pandemic landscape, the exhibition will also give photographers who are currently unable to host mass gatherings due to Covid19 a unique chance to exhibit within a physical space at Monster Valley Gallery on Karangahape Road in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland.
Join us for the exhibition opening on Thursday 2nd of September at Monster Valley Gallery.
The gallery will be open for viewing on Friday the 3rd and Saturday the 4th of September. We will also be streaming the opening for anyone who is based internationally or who are unable to make it to the event.
However, to make this happen, we need your support!
The funds raised through this Boosted campaign will help us cover the Monster Valley gallery hire for the 3-day exhibition, as well as printing of all the works being shown by Skar Image Lab.
The photographers can be found on Instagram by searching their usernames, linked below.
