Impossible - Musical Short Film
Fusion Film | Film
The Project
Impossible is a musical, a heartwarming and uplifting romp. It’s a joyous tribute to romance and to those who dare to dream impossible dreams.
Synopsis: On the night of his arranged marriage engagement party, young Sikh Sajjan Singh (Utsav Patel) visits the love of his life, Dr Angie Pohiva (Diamond Langi) one last time. Witnessing this, a world-famous star of the stage Quentin Parnell (Paul Norell) decides to get involved. Aided by a brilliant theatre troupe, both men are inspired to confront their own truths.
Why ‘Impossible’?
An audacious homage to movie musicals, Impossible is a unique film in our cinematic landscape. Impossible celebrates Aotearoa’s diversity and champions fresh new faces. It’s a heartfelt and hugely entertaining spectacle that will appeal to a wide range of ages, cultures and genders. It’s also a teaser that will leave you wanting more because ultimately, we want to bring you the full feature film story.
Funding
Thanks to the New Zealand Film Commission and the good will of #TeamImpossible, we have been able to complete production and get all the way through to final post-production. Now we just need funds to finish the job and cover the following expenses: conform, colour grade, sound design, final sound mix, deliverables, music licenses and film festival submission costs.
Your participation
If you’re in position to contribute, we’d be so grateful for your generous support. If you’re unable to donate, you can still support us by liking and following our Facebook and Instagram pages, and sharing our campaign.
Finishing the short is only the very beginning of the Impossible journey – and we’d love each and every one of you to be a part of it with us.
THANK YOU!
Thank you so much for being part of #TeamImpossible! If you would like an invite to the cast-crew-sponsors screening that will happen in Auckland later this year, please let us know when you make your donation.
